This course provides a clear, structured, and practical framework for carrying out effective classroom observations that genuinely support professional growth and improved teaching practice.Led by Dr Leon Bernstein, the program is designed for new teachers, experienced educators, headteachers, and teacher mentors who are observing to learn from others or observing to support and develop teaching across a school, this course equips you with the tools to do so professionally and constructively.Participants will learn:<ul><li>How to prepare for and conduct a classroom observation with focus and intent</li><li>What to look for during a lesson, beyond surface performance</li><li>How to identify strong practice and areas for development in a balanced, respectful way</li><li>How to ground observations in a clear structure of what makes a high-quality professional lesson</li></ul>The course is based on a well-defined model of effective lesson delivery, helping observers understand how teaching elements fit together — from lesson purpose and structure, to student engagement, classroom management, and learning outcomes.By the end of the course, participants will be able to:<ul><li>Observe lessons with confidence and consistency</li><li>Recognize and articulate effective teaching practice</li><li>Use observation as a tool for learning, reflection, and school-wide improvement</li></ul>This course turns classroom observation from a vague process into a clear, supportive, and development-focused professional skill.
