Every child stands at the meeting point of two worlds — home and school. When these worlds connect with understanding and respect, they become a powerful force for a child’s growth, confidence, and success.Yet, relationships between parents and teachers can easily break down, especially when a child is struggling — whether with challenging behaviour, anxiety, or a disability. In these moments, both sides often feel justified in their position, each seeing the other as part of the problem rather than part of the solution. The result can be a downward spiral in which tension replaces teamwork, and everyone loses — the teacher, the parent, and, most of all, the child.This course offers a way to change that story. Guided by the principle that we are all in the same boat — and the only way forward is to row together — participants will discover a practical framework for assessing and improving parent–teacher diplomacy. They will learn how to prepare for meetings with insight into the hidden tensions at play, set relationships on a positive footing, and use powerful communication tools to bring parents into collaboration.Drawing on the principles of the NVR (Non-Violent Resistance) model and grounded in real-world school dynamics, this training empowers educators to transform potential conflict into cooperation, and difficult relationships into strong, supportive partnerships — enabling two worlds to work together for one child.
