This program is designed to support parents just like you—those walking the difficult path of loving and caring for a child who is struggling. Whether your child is experiencing emotional distress, expressing self-harm or suicidal thoughts, or you’re simply worried and want to be prepared, you are doing something important by being here. Every Family Is Unique—And So Is the Support Needed

While this program can be life-changing, it’s important to use it in a way that fits your family’s needs. If your child is in immediate distress, is currently self-harming, or expressing suicidal thoughts, we encourage you to use this course as part of a broader circle of support. You are not being turned away—we welcome you fully. We simply want to make sure that you feel well-supported, and that your child has access to the care they may need.
That’s why it is imperative to:
  • Involve a mental health professional such as a psychiatrist, psychologist, or family therapist

  • Take this course alongside live support, either through a guided parent group, or with an NVR-accredited practitioner who understands suicide prevention.

We’re Here to Help You Find the Right Support

At learnNVR, we work with a network of international professionals who are trained in the NVR approach. These include therapists, educators, psychiatrists, and clinicians who understand the unique needs of families in distress. We can help you:
  • Join a small, guided parent group

  • Find a one-on-one NVR practitioner

A Note on Safety and Care

This course has helped many families make meaningful, lasting change. And we believe it can help yours too. Because we’re not directly involved in your unique circumstances, we aren’t able to assess risk or offer clinical guidance. For that reason: This course cannot replace professional care in urgent situations. It is crucial to be used alongside professional support, such as a psychiatrist or a psychologist, not in place of it.
